Scobey Schools © 2016    Privacy Policy

We are in need of a favor from the responsible adults who use the school facility.  So everyone knows we have video feed throughout the school.  This allows us to view how individuals use the school; having said that, it is very time consuming to go back through all the recorded footage.  The biggest issue we are now having is unaccompanied kids/students and non-guardians letting them into the building.  If you are using the facility and see unaccompanied youth or individuals misusing the facility call the school and leave a message with the time of the incident; all we need is a time.  Giving us a time allows us to go back through the footage, see who accessed the school, and we can handle it from there.  We do not want to close the facility, but that is always an option.  A little assistance from those who respect the facility will help greatly in getting a handle on those who do not.

OUR MISSION

With the involvement of the entire community, the mission of Scobey Schools is to develop responsible individuals who will respect themselves and the rights of others and to insure educational opportunities for all students which will enable them to achieve success in an ever changing society and to become lifelong learners.

Dear Patrons:
Effective July 1, 2017 the district will charge an annual $10.00 facility usage fee excluding students and senior citizens. At the May board meeting the Athletic Director requested the Board of Trustees to consider the facility charge for the following reasons.

First and foremost, with increased usage of the facility maintenance costs also increase. Additionally, the district does not have access to funds to replace and/or upgrade equipment for public use. An annual fee allows the district to create a revolving account that can accumulate funds in order to upgrade weight room equipment, bikes and elliptical on the mezzanine, maintenance of gym floor, etc.

July 1, 2017 all fingerprint access will be shut off. Please stop in at the office to sign the facility use agreement and pay the $10.00 fee at which point your access will be turned back on. Lastly, if you have ideas for equipment needs feel free to share your thoughts.
Thank you,
Logan Brower

OPEN GYM SCHEDULING:

We will continue with past practice.  Any school activity i.e. sports, band, choir, etc. holds precedence for facility use.  Beyond school activities open gym will be treated as open gym.  We do not schedule gym time for outside groups, unless it is a larger event such as the SIT tournament, a concert, or the like.  I understand people are wanting specific times but we do not have the resources or time to manage.  the community's use of the facility is important, however keep in mind the wear and tear that occurs.  With that please do your best to share the facility.  If you do not need a court for activities, allow those who do and visa versa.

 FACILITY USE POLICY

The Scobey School District has a policy in place for use of the facility. The policy is in place for school liability reasons and for care of the facility. Each person that has received access through the use of the fingerprint scanner has signed an agreement to abide by this policy. This agreement is below. The Scobey Schools will now require fingerprint scan to use our activity center during non-school hours. The scanners can be used on the front door (north) of the commons and the south door to the school. To be entered into the system you must
sign this agreement and turn it in to the school office.

The following rules should be followed at all times when you are entered in system.
  1. Access to school will be every day from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. for community members. Doors will be open for school days from 7:30 to 4:30. If for any reason the facility is not going to be available for use, a notice will be posted.
  2. If you use any equipment, balls, weights etc. they are to be put away when done with them. Balls should be placed on ball rack or baskets.
  3. lf you are the last one to leave the room - gym, weight room, etc. shut-off the lights.
  4. At no time should street shoes be worn on the gym floors. Liquids other than water are not allowed in the gym at any time, and NEVER on the gym floor.
  5. You are responsible for any person that enters with you.
6.When you enter the building with your child(ren) you are responsible for them. They should be supervised at all times. For safety reasons, do not letyour child(ren) run "free" around the school.
  7. Students are not to be in school after 6:30 on Wednesday. (Board Policy)
  8. Doors should not be propped open.
Failure to abide by the above will result in your removal from the system until you meet with the school administration.

We have a great facility for our community. Please help in keeping it safe and clean. Organizations or group members that use the facility must also foilowthe policy. Failure to do so will result in the loss of privilege to use the school facilitY. If the policy continues to be ignored we will allow onlywalking trackand weight room use from 5:00 am to 8:OO am The administration is required and will enforce the policy.
